In my role as Scrutiny Chairman of Local Services I have to question and challenge services that the council provides. I am looking at doing a piece of work about neighbourhood offices which have been in existence for about 20 years and need to be kept modern. Some of the problems that people have raised to me about the offices are that they are often shut due to staffing shortages, don’t have standard opening times and give inconsistent advice. What is your experience of your local office?
