Monday 8th February
I have had various meetings around Birmingham. The main one was in the evening, the Ward Advisory Board. The main item on the agenda was the allocation of the £100,000community chest budget. This is always a difficult meeting as everyone has differing views on how it should be shared. We had over £200,000 in bids so as you can imagine not everyone got what they wanted. We approved bids for a number of projects including the special collections of bulky household waste, the Brandwood Centre and some domestic violence projects.
